Betty is a registered Psychotherapist working in private practice with individuals, couples and families in relation to stress, anxiety, mental health and relationship issues. Currently she is developing an excellence in the area of trauma release. This work is based within a belief system that subscribes to the idea that we are all endowed with an innate healing ability and by using the emotions we can track and release the trauma at source. She is also a qualified family consultant in the area of collaborative law – an emerging method of non-adversarial conflict resolution for couples.She is registered with the Irish Council of Psychotherapy (ICP), the European Association of Psychotherapy (ECP), and the Family Therapy Association of Ireland. She has in excess of 20 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in Adult Mental Health, Child and adolescent Mental Health, and third level education and within private practice. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree from University College Dublin and a Masters of Social Science Degree (Psychotherapy) from University College Dublin in conjunction with the Mater Hospital Dublin Child and Adolescent Unit. She has also worked for many years as a trainer delivering courses in these areas within companies and private clinics.
